Dragon Quest Rivals Switch
Dragon Quest Rivals (ドラゴンクエストライバルズ, Doragon Kuesuto Raibaruzu Rivals?) is a digital collectible card game published by Square Enix in November 2017 for Android and iOS. A PC version for Yahoo! Games Player was launched in 2018, while a version for the Nintendo Switch was released in February 2019.
Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday that it has released the Dragon Quest Rivals game on the Switch. The game is free-to-play with purchasable in-game items. The game is only available in Japan.
The game launched for iOS and Android devices in November 2017, and is also available on PC.
Dragon Quest Rivals allows players to participate in online turn-based card games with cards featuring Dragon Quest characters and rivals. Players make decks featuring one leader character and 30 other cards.

At today’s Dragon Quest Summer Festival in Tokyo, Japan, Square Enix confirmed their card battle game Dragon Quest Rivals will also be coming to PC in addition to iOS and Android devices in Japan (thanks, Siliconera).

Block puzzle apk. Not sure what Dragon Quest Rivals is? Well, details remain light, but it’s described as a strategic card battler – so expect something like a Hearthstone / Dragon Quest hybrid, I guess. Iconic monsters and characters from the series will be available within the playable deck.

The mobile versions are expected some time in Q3 2017, but the PC isn’t expected until some time after that. When that’ll be, exactly, we’re not yet sure – but we’ll keep you posted.
Square Enix recently dropped Hitman and Io Interactive from its publishing catalogue, giving “extraordinary loss” as the reason why they cut ties with the developers. It’s not all bad for Io though – they recently hit thefive million players milestone on Hitman.
